Storyboard:

Two siblings, a brother and sister, enter the shot via car in a still shot. The car comes closer to the screen and cuts to the two siblings, and a conversation follows with a series of over the shoulder shots.

After the conversation, a track movement is utilized as we follow both siblings to the door. The scene cuts to an extreme close-up of the sister's hands unlocking the door. Then, the scene cuts to a medium close-up of the two entering the new setting.

The shot is recorded in a pan movement as we follow the siblings to a part of the house where they find a note written by their aunt, Annie. She wrote a letter of instructions for her beloved dog, Onyx, which is seen in an extreme close-up for a few seconds.

As the sister reads the note aloud, the brother goes looking for the dog they'll be dog-sitting for the next 5 days as their Aunt had an important work business to attend to across the country.

A series of jump cut shots appear when the sister reads the letter to the end and the brother finally finds the dog.

They both have varying reactions towards the dog; the brother doesn't care and is nonchalant while the sister gushes over how cute it is. After that, they both head to their designated rooms and sleep for the night.

Then suddenly, the camera will move in a pan movement to the dog, and into a track to follow the dog to the main door. The camera will then cut to the outside of the door and witness the dog escaping the house.

The next scene will cut to a wide shot of the house and we hear a loud scream coming from the sister, which then cuts to the brother sleeping peacefully in his room only to then be jolted awake by the violent shaking from his sister. The only coherent phrase she says is that the dog disappeared.

The final scenes cut to both of them going outside as the camera moves down or cuts to the open and empty dog cage with the dog's toy in it.
