Script - Post 37

Here is the rough script of the film, S - sister B - brother "Do we really need to do this? I just want to stay home and sleep." - S says annoyed. "Stop complaining like a baby, we're getting paid. Now go unlock the door." - B commands irritated. (mockery) "Fine." - S exaggerated [Next Scene] "Oh, there's the letter Aunt Rose mentioned." - B "Hey guys, thank you so much for helping me with this. All you have to do is feed Onyx every six hours with two scoops of dry food and a tablespoon of wet food. Walk her every two hours or so. Also, don't leave anything she can chew on in her view. Love, Aunt Rose." - S "I found her dog!" - B yells loudly across the house. "Oh my god she's so cute! (talks in a baby voice)" - S "That's... gross. I'm going to bed, goodnight." - B says disgustingly. "Alright, me too." - S [Next Scene] (Loud scream) - S "(brother's name) wake up! ...

Storyboard - Post 36

Storyboard: Two siblings, a brother and sister, enter the shot via car in a still shot. The car comes closer to the screen and cuts to the two siblings, and a conversation follows with a series of over the shoulder shots. After the conversation, a track movement is utilized as we follow both siblings to the door. The scene cuts to an extreme close-up of the sister's hands unlocking the door. Then, the scene cuts to a medium close-up of the two entering the new setting. The shot is recorded in a pan movement as we follow the siblings to a part of the house where they find a note written by their aunt, Annie. She wrote a letter of instructions for her beloved dog, Onyx, which is seen in an extreme close-up for a few seconds.  As the sister reads the note aloud, the brother goes looking for the dog they'll be dog-sitting for the next 5 days as their Aunt had an important work business to attend to across the country. A series of jump cut shots appear when the sister reads the lett...

Final Idea for Film - Post 34

After much thinking, I've come to a final decision on what to film for my opening. In the near future, my situation wouldn't allow me to go out and about with many people at any time I want, so I need to make something with everything I have in my mother's house. What I have in mind is making the film about a girl and her best friend; her dog. After viewing their loving bond, the audience along with the main character will see that the dog has gone missing. This will make the main character stressed and in full panic mode. This idea is best for me with the situation, and I think it's acceptable. It will be considered as a drama film.

More Ideas - Post 33

Why I changed my original idea At first, in the beginning of the school year, I had planned out for my final project to be a sort of coming of age opening film. I thought out of the opening to incorporate elements such as a simple problem in a teenager's life, and how that teenager would seek the help and attention from their friends to solve the problem and make them feel better. I even had an idea to add a song from a world-wide known group of artists, which would be the inspiration for a certain scene because of the music video. However, I felt my idea didn't fit in the deadline I have, two minutes is only so much time. I believe the scenario with the romance would be the best fit for now and the easiest to come up with since I consider myself to be what's called a, "hopeless romantic." I've consumed an enormous amount of media displaying romance whether it be movies/films, books, or social media platforms. It would be best because I can direct all the kno...

Ideas - Post 32

So, for the final project, I'm thinking of many ideas for the genre. These are what I came up with for now: Horror; taking place in a forest and involving around three to four individuals. Takes place in the afternoon because the night would be too dangerous for the cast. The whole mood would be suspenseful and could intensify as time goes by. Near the end, could leave a scene that leaves the audience on a cliffhanger. Romance; taking place in the city. The time would be around late afternoon for the sun to shine bright. My two actors could be females to show representation in the lgbtq+ community. I could just make up the cute first ever interaction between the two characters and end it with a moment of realization for their feelings for one another. Adventure/Expedition; takes place in the forest and involving two individuals who can play as characters who are travelers. I can try and edit certain scenes to make it seem as though they have found some sort of other worldly item o...
